In all seriousness, you need to figure out if its a knock or a tick sound.
If it's a ticking sound from the drivers side at idle, use the search. Perfectly normal (albeit annoying).

If you're getting a knock sound from the bottom of the motor, most like a connecting rod on it's way out (or broke completely and then stabbed a hole in the side of the block as in my situation).

I'm just curious. What does an exhaust leak sound like? I have a ticking noise on my truck as well and can't figure out what it is. Thanks.

Yes. The noise starts at about 1500 RPM's at slow to moderate acceleration and goes away at around 2000-2500.

Here is a video that another user posted. It's post #4. It's exactly the same noise.
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...-clicking-noise-after-2000-rpm-any-ideas.html

I would video tape mine but I filled it up on premium at the suggestion of a friend and the sound went away. I still have half a tank so until that runs out and I go back to 87 I won't be able to video tape it.
