    I've tried extracting it, but there's about 1.125" of tap left in the part and it's not going anywhere. :(

    I may drill it out and use a helicoil, but I'm not sure if I want to spend the extra time.

    Great advice thanks I'll try that! I just got my TRD short shifter delivered on Friday so this weekend I'll be ripping up the console to put that in anyway :D

    Pope makes some fine quality stuff too guys.

    Hey Joe let me know next time you're up in the NoVA area. I got a stock shift knob I'll give you to replace yours (I just gotta find it :eek:). Or if you're really itchin to get it I can probably cram it into one of those USPS boxes and send it down to you.

    nah don't worry bout shipping. Doubt it'd be much. Can't make any meets for a while I'm in the middle of renovating the in-laws basement so between work and weekend work I'm booked solid through August. If you want PM me your addy and I'll see if I can get it in the mail this weekend.

    undercover tonneau ,bug deflector, removal of all tacoma emblems added a set of component speakers behind the rear seat egr in channel window visors
    here is my shift knob...the stirpes on both the knob and the shift boot are gray but the camera flash makes it look white. [​IMG]

    Heres mine. They were for a rhino but I had them re-threaded. Carbon fiber and knotted woodgrain.
