I've been searching and can't find the exact answer I'm looking for. I just got new wheels, XD Enduros in 16x8. They fit but barely clear the calipers and I'm sure once I change out the pads they will hit the calipers. I'm thinking about replacing the front studs with longer ones and adding a 1/4" spacer from AutoZone. My wheels are lug-centric and I already have the ET lugs. Does anyone see any problems with this set-up? I don't want spider-tracks because the wheels will stick out to far for my liking, and a 1/4" spacer will give plenty of clearance for the caliper. From my research, it seems the only problem with these spacer is the studs being to short which, will be resolved by swapping out the studs for longer ones. If there is some problem I'm missing, please let me know.

the 1/4" wheel spacers that fit over the lugs have caused vibration issues in the past. changing your pads will not change how far the calipers stick out as the caliper housing does not move, the pistons inside move the pads in.

Now I see they are four piston caliper which are mounted solid. I'm still going with the spacers because it's so close you can barely fit paper in there.

same as the fit on my 8069s and i've never had an issue and been running them off/on for over 2 years. as long as the dont rub when you spin the wheel, you're fine.
