Driving my truck yesterday and i swear i heard a strange noise. Heard it again around 2000 rpms today. Then when i was on the freeway i made a lane cahnge to pass a semi and the noise came and wemt. The noise sounds like tins cans rattling around under the truck. And when i made the lane change and pass today it sounded like it blew out or dislodged. Im thinking cat. But aside from taking it to a mechanic i am not sure how to check. I am supposed to be going to kern tomorrpw morning. Mechanic fist thing then hopefully kern.

Typing from my phone, sorry for punctuation and splling mistakes.

You sure there weren't actual cans in the bed of your truck? I've been driving home the next morning after a fun filled night, and heard the cans rolling around back there, and freaked out. Didn't even realize it until I got home, and did a walk around.

lol sounds crazy, but it happens.

Fist bump the cats and other areas of exhaust to make certain there isn't something rattling around in there.

Let it cool first! I hold no responsibility if you burn yourself!

No cans in or around the truck :p

Truck is cooling down right now, I will go out and bump it around tonight after it cools.

Detonation would be more consistent than this wouldn't it? I don't feel rattling or hear anything at idle. It's only at certain RPMs with certain amounts of pressure against the truck, as in going up a hill.

I had someting like this and it was a hose clamp on the driver side header. I don't know what it was clamping or why it was there but took off and no noise since
