Fuel consumption while idling - scangauge

Does anybody here know what the V-6's fuel consumption while idling is? Maybo those with the scangauge? Does it give that info?

Ultraguage gives that info in gal/hr. I can post it up tomorrow if no one does before then. I think it's like .4 gal/hr if I'm remembering correctly but don't quote me on that, my memory is a little rusty...

 

i would like someone give me is gal/hr consommation when the truck is idling at his normal rpm , please , i want to know why i can only make 330-300km a tank(like 200miles ) maybe you can get this info with a ultragauge ?? with the v6 4.0L

 

During the cold start-up it burns 1.5 to 1.6 gallons/Hr. ... after 3 minutes or so when it's reasonably warmed up it burns .4 to .6 gal/Hr.

... at least that's whay my UltraGuage indicates.

Super old, but technically no one answered the old question either

Winter cold with conventional oil, figure 1.6-1.7 gal/hr coming down to about 1.4 gal/hr pretty fast. Synthetic will start around 1.4-1.5 and fall. In the summer I've seen cold starts as low as 1.2 gal/hr.

Fully warmed up idle, 700 rpm, no a/c, that's 0.33 gal/hr. With a/c, about 0.40 gal/hr. Figure at least 15 minutes of driving for it to get that low.

The 1300 rpm idle that it likes to do if in neutral and over 10 mph, that's 0.60 gal/hr. Odd behavior here - if the a/c kicks on during high neutral idle, it'll still be 0.60 gal/hr, but rpm will drop to about 1000.
