I'd say it looks good...but the Black paint makes it hard to see them. But then I guess thats the point! Good job!

Yeah I had thought about color matching them to the truck but then I figured, since they'd be out in the elements all the time, I should go ahead and just bed line em. I like the fact that they aren't overly noticeable.

In this picture you can see it a little better.

I'm planning on putting another touch-up layer of liner on my bed which should help hide them even more but around here you don't want to draw any extra attention to what you may be keeping locked away.

I already posted this in TW Live, but I figured I would give my contribution to this thread.

All in all, this is a pretty easy and cheap mod. It was a nice afternoon project on a rainy day.

I wanted it to sit low on the bed rail so I had to cut some of the overhang on the lid (don't make fun, I only had a hack saw and it was a weird angle). My fudged up cut does not show when the can is installed. It fits nicely under my cover. I'll post up some installed pics if it ever stops raining.....

I'm just outside Barrie, ON. Princess Auto is your friend. Try different stores, you never know what shows up in their inventory(ies).

cheers,

There it is, just like the others. Used 3/8 x 1" lag bolts and wing nuts, super easy to do.

I went a slightly different route...
I have a quad-fold cover, so weather is not an issue. I used Flambeau ant-rust boxes and mounted them to d-rings I attached to bed rail bolts.

Then I used some more (and larger) boxes under the first section of the cover.

If I need to use the side boxes away from the truck...the carabiners unclip and then I pop the top on and carry them away.
