First question is what kind of money you looking to spend and what do you plan to do with the truck?

My ultimate build? Does it have to pertain to 2nd gen Tacos?

    I have two builds.
    1. A double cab with a modest lift to clear 285/75r16 all terrain type tires. body protection all around (sliders, skids), gears and lockers, enough gear to be self sufficient in the wild for 2 weeks.

    2. The rig Toyota should have built. Picture a 1985 4runner body, FJ80 frame and suspension (coils all around, solid axles front and rear, with e-lockers), inline 6 cylinder Turbo Diesel, 35" tires with gears that match.

Now, my budget build involves body protection, and gear to be able to get off road and back home without incident.

4 wheeling with a little street, my last tacoma was a 1st gen double cab black, with 2.5 inch lift with 275/65/18 goodyear wrangler and moto metal mo951s. and i like that kinda style, it looks aggrestive but kind of street

I would say lift wheels and tires to start. How big of a lift do you want?

lift and tires, but a lift that can support a heavy winch plate bumper, like the all pro and ARB, OME full lift kit with 886 coils, roof rack, snorkel, skids, i like a safari/expedition look
