Vibration around 30-35mph

I bought a 07 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 TRD Sport 92k miles. I have put new tires on it and had it alligned at the toyota dealer. When i bought it the vibration was already there but i thought it may be the old tires. The truck is totally stock. The vibration seems to be coming from the back of the truck and starts around 30mph gradually lessening as i speed up and feels completely gone by 60. I did put it in 4hi drove it up to 45 and the vibration is gone. I did crawl under the truck and check for slack and i am able to move the drive shaft up in the carrier bearing about a full inch to inch and a quarter. My question is should there be that much slack? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

Rear tires need reblanced.

 

You mean to tell me you can move the drive shaft in the CB an 1" to a 1 1/4". That is bad, that bearing needs replacing ASAP.

 

I was told its supposed to flex a bit but wasn't sure how much.Is this a part only available from toyota?

 

The vib has been there since I had new tires put on it. They were balanced then. That was only bought two weeks ago. Took it back to toyota. They just teSt drove it. And said check the drive shaft.

 

flipped the carrier bearing over 180*. vibration gone. crazy. Toyota wanted me to start replacing mounts, then driveshaft. Do these guys really know what theyre working on? It took me 5min and a 14mm socket. Job done.

 

Could you post a picture of what the carrier bearing should look like?

I have drive line vibrations even after doing a small carrier bearing drop and I'm wondering if the bearing is not aligned correctly or is flipped the wrong way.
