Hey guys I am thinking about what to do next to my Tacoma. It is an '05 with 90K on the clock. I haven't done any really big mods that would keep me tied to the truck at this point. I'd either like to keep modding it, trade it in for a newer model (possibly with 4x4), or wait for the 2013 model to come out. If I keep it and mod it I forsee myself spending $$$ on upgrades like a camper shell, wheels/tires, and possibly a lift for shocks/struts. What would you guys do next?

I'd say do what YOU really want to do. But my opinion is to get a 4x4 and mod the crap out of it.

Mods are currently being changed .....
Do you need a 4x4? I say mod this one. You'd be dropping more $ on the newer model, which is potential mod money.

If your current truck is paid off and is in good shape, I say let the mods begin!

Well thing is I have a 4x4 tundra, and I think if I were to do really serious offroading I'd get a jeep...so I don't think a 4x4 tacoma would all too fitting...but then again tacomas are awesome and 4x4 tacomas even better, haha.

What kind of mods would you do?

If you already have a 4x4 Tundra I don't think getting a 4x4 Tacoma would provide that much value.

Also, can I ask why you said wait for the 2013 versus a 2012? If it's for the chance of a powertrain redesign, I wouldn't put all of your eggs in that basket just in case they wait until 2014.

I say keep the 2005 and mod the crap out of it.
