I did a search, and found one thread with 0 replies but over 200 views on this subject.

I was wondering if someone has found a way to make this light:

turn on when you activate your fog lights, and not only when your headlights are on. So if you didn't use your fog lights it would be off.

Just splice a power wire from your fogs to the light, so when they come on w/o the head lights the bulb will get power still.

The only thing I can think of and it wouldn't be fun is to tear apart your dash. Find the wire for that light and hook it in series to your fog light switch. More work than it's worth in my opinion.

He doesn't want the light on unless the fogs are on. He wants to convert it from a head light indacator to a fog light indacator.

Why? Just look a little to the left, if the fog light switch is depressed, the lights are on...

You'd be better off getting a switch with an indicator light on the switch itself vs tearing into the dash. As PSU stated, it won't be a fun electrical project.

Because when its dark out, you can't tell if the switch is depressed. And I don't need the light to tell me if my headlights are on. I can tell
