I got some driving lights from walmart and threw them in those cubbies. Pretty much the only reason why I got those specific ones are because they fit so well in there. The only thing I don't like is the yellowish color of them and I don't think I can get a white-colored bulb for them.. I also ordered some white LEDs and lined the side of the bed with them. What are your opinions? I know the colors are mis-matched.. but does it look cheesy? The whole bed lights up REALLY well at night.

Looks great, I'm not sure I've ever needed a reason to light my bed up but I can see how it would be helpful. If you bring enough beer you'll never have to worry about finding that one.

    Good job!

Ha, thanks. Yah I ride motocross and I'm always having to load/unload in the early morning/night. It'll definitely come in handy.

I currently have it wired so everything comes on with one switch. But I could re-wire it to take a picture of just the LEDs if enough people want.. lol :). I'm kinda interested in how that would look, myself

Looks like the LEDs are more than enough!

Is that rope LEDs or what? How did you mount them.

It is a flexible weatherproof strip of LEDs. 15 meters long. Went all the way around the bed perfectly. They have 3m sticky backing but it didn't stick to the metal that great so I used a hot glue gun

The LED's alone will give enough light. Ditch the other lights in the cubbies. Looks good though.

I like it, looks great! I like both sets, but those leds are pretty sweet. I probably would of just went with those.

Looks great, btw. LED's only seem to work really well. May do it myself now. Where'd you mount the switch?

Looks pretty sweet! I wouldn't mind getting that for my bed. Although I wouldn't really have a reason to, other than it looking cool :D

I have the same lights in my cuby's and they look factory installed. I caught a dodge guy admiring them when I was walking up to my truck in a parking lot.

I like it. Looks clean and effective. I have a shell on mine, so I installed lights inside the shell. I hate fumbling around in the dark looking for my beer!

    Looks good.
've seen a-lot of installed lights and these look pretty clean. I know this isn't a write up of an install or anything but do you mind posting the links of where you got em??

    Thanks

Kinda wanted to be "unique" but hell, I've stolen a few other peoples' ideas on here too. Here's where I got the LEDs. The driving lights can be found at wal-mart in the automotive section for like 10 bucks a piece.

Here are pictures of where I mounted the switches:

    Switch#1

    Switch#2

I ran the wiring through the bed right here:

The plastic end piece covers the hole

I will take pictures either tonight or tomorrow night after re-wiring, so that JUST the LEDs are on.

Nicely done. That bed switch looks clean. Looking forward to the next set of photos!
