I've search all over and can't find what I'm looking for, having trouble finding the right replacement air filter for my CAI.

I have the TRD CAI that has the silver aluminum top housing with the 6 alen screws on the top. It contains the TRD air filter which is conical in shape. Top width is 4.5 in, bottom width is 7in, length is 7in and most importantly intake opening is 5.5 in.

I can't for the life of me find a replacement air filter, seems every trd cai filters i find are for the TRD CAI that houses a flat air filter.

I had heard that the AFE ProDry 21-90044 would work but its dimensions are way off.

Anyone out there replace a similar filter, thought we could start a thread that had info on replacements, sizes, prices, etc....

hmmm, more dirt in the intake tube sounds bad. I'll look at that one.

    Correction on the dimensions

    Intake: 5.5in
    Flange Length: 1in
    Base Diameter of filter: 7.5in
    Top diameter: 4.75in
    Length: 7in

I have a similar question but its for the 2nd gen trd cai. Is there a non-oiled filter version for it or am I stuck with the flat oiled one?

    Hey guys,

I called the dealership for this TRD cone air filter (same as above noted wilsonpj has)and was told they have a "stop sale" on them and that I can clean the filter with a K&N filter cleaning kit.

Ever heard of this? what's going on here?

Bump- very old thread. But I too have the original TRD CAI kit on my 2010 2nd Gen… and I’ve loved it since day one.

the issue (yes ya can wash them) is that eventually they wear out.

    and that’s me right now

Toyota doesn’t sell it, and finding an Air Filter with a magical 5.5 inch inlet seems to be much harder than it sounds

    anyone have a lead ??
