Hello All. This is my first post to the forum. I saw the great thread on 2nd gen bumpers. Any suggestions on a bumper that maintains the most factory look that can take a 8k winch?

    Thanks for any input.

    Welcome!
Someone managed to put a winch behind the factory bumper, doesn't get much more factory looking that that.

Check out the vendor section, there are a few that make plate bumpers. Although their plate bumpers aren't really factory looking, they look pretty damn good. Have you looked into ARB?

Thanks Pugga. I just looked at ARB site. I also saw a smittybilt winch mount that bolts over the factory bumper but don't see it on their site. May have been a concept.

i saw somewhere where there's a product that mounts behind the factory bumper that allows a winch to bolt into it...keeping the factory bumper and allows you to run a winch behind the factory bumper...

Anyone running the undercover winch mount with a satoshi grille and lights behind their grille? I don't think there would be enough room to run the undercover winch setup thisvway based on the pictures on the manufacturer's website....

I recently installed a hidden winch mount from undercoverhwms.com. It was not hard to do. Nothing but good to say about their mount and the way they handle their business. If you want to keep the stock look up front they offer a good way to do so. Pic attached.

You can run longer cables to the box, then you can mount it in the engine bay somewhere. That will keep it out of the elements as well.
