I'm considering utilizing a mobile two-way radio in my 05 Tacoma and powering it via a cigarette plug adapter in an accessory plug on the dash. I can either do that or run the cable to the battery through the firewall. It will only be transferred to this vehicle some of the time and this seems like an easier "install". I will have the power cable run to the battery in the primary vehicle. I have heard that some newer vehicles have 20A accessory plugs and I'm not sure what the 05 Tacoma has. I'm sure that others have this set up or can give advice regarding such a set up. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments? Thanks.
