Fitting Skis in Double Cab Short Cab

Hey Guys,
So i am new here as a member but have been following the site. I Have a question about if skis around 170 cm will fit in a short bed diagonal or in the bed at all. If not what are my options to carrying skis i would like to just get a access cab but i would like to be able to have people in the back comfortably.

Can you run them through the back sliding window? I've done that with lumber

 

i suppose i could but i would like to be able to keep them locked or out of site of any thieves, using a tonneau cover

 

just googled the conversion, 170 cm is about 5' 7". might work if you put them diagonally in the short bed, only other option would be a roof rack

 

i think they will fit. i had a friends ski bag with boots in the back of my truck diagonally but i dont know what size they were. fit fine locked up under my leer cap

170's should fit diagonally, mine do and they're a little longer.

 

x2 they should fit. My 6' fishing rods fit diagonally with plenty of room to spare.

 

I ski 180's and they fit diagonally in the ski bag no problem. The bigger problem is trying to fit 4 guys and their ski boots inside the cab so nobody has freezing boots when they get to the mountain!

 

F-that, put your boots on the back seats between the 2 guys sitting back there and make them throw their shit in the bed. The perks of being the designated driver

 

i ski 186's and they fit no problem. or you could get a ski rack.

 

I have 165 skis and 158 snowboard, both fit fine diagonally and there is still room to spare that way so yours will fit too I'm sure.

I always put my boots with the rest of the gear in the bed, never even thought about bringing them into the cab to keep them warmer, then again I never found them to be cold in the first place so it never occurred to me

 

They should invent skis that screw in together, like a pool cue so it's easier to carry.

 

i would not want to catch any air with two piece skis. faceplant

 

Man, I CANNOT get my boots on when they're cold - they're just too stiff ... am I the only one?

 

I can barely squeeze into mine if they're cold, some of my friends can't but it's because they bought race boots. Some are easier than others. I still wish rear loaders would come back out

 

Unless you have a recreational boot or something too big for you they shouldn't be possible to get on when cold. Why would you want to start the day out like that anyway, ski boots are cold!

 

always leave mine in the passenger footwell on the way up the hill....the heat softens the shell enough to get 'em on no problem and I start the day with toasty feet!
