So here's my story...I have been in the rice rocket scene in cars my whole life, my first whip was an Acura integ which was pretty flashy. Now I have 3 kids and married and grew out of the lowered car scene. All my friends have lifted trucks and now it's my turn. I just would like to get someone to point me towards the right direction. I got me a 2011 pre runner double cab. I'm not into off roading and don't plan to off road. I do want a six inch lift, but wanna have a real smooth ride...I'm trying to do everything all at once...I live in socal area so if anyone out there can shoot me links or even info...all help is greatly appreciated, thanks
    Jimmy

do some research on spindles. since you're 2wd, don't do any kind of drop bracket lift for the love of god.

And I was offering my perspective, in a way that was supposed to be humorous, to contrast the seriousness of your post.

I respect that, thnx for the help tho...money wasted ain't a problem to me, I don't think I would be wasting. I think a lifted Tacoma is fricken sick, looks is something I like and as long as it rides smooth, then I ain't wasting any money. I am married to a what do you call a "shuga mama"

Okay so I've been looking around here and am looking for a complete suspension kit to gain a six inch lift. Can't find any, toytec sells a kit but only a 3" lift...also checked downsouth...as well, any other stores I can look up?

Maybe a 3 inch lift would be a good compromise between "looking sick" and still functioning well on the street?

IMO, Id go with a good 3-4" lift with some 285's. That looks sick! A full 6" just looks funny on a Tacoma. But like I said, that is my opinion. Just post pics of the build!
