Time to ride HIGH! I wanna be LIfted!

So here's my story...I have been in the rice rocket scene in cars my whole life, my first whip was an Acura integ which was pretty flashy. Now I have 3 kids and married and grew out of the lowered car scene. All my friends have lifted trucks and now it's my turn. I just would like to get someone to point me towards the right direction. I got me a 2011 pre runner double cab. I'm not into off roading and don't plan to off road. I do want a six inch lift, but wanna have a real smooth ride...I'm trying to do everything all at once...I live in socal area so if anyone out there can shoot me links or even info...all help is greatly appreciated, thanks
Jimmy

do some research on spindles. since you're 2wd, don't do any kind of drop bracket lift for the love of god.

Did you see anywhere I said that he shouldnt do it? Try to find it. In fact, no. I'm just offering PERSPECTIVE. If he wants to spend his money on hookers and coke, that's his choice. I'm just recommending that he skip the coke and use a condom.
WTF are you his mother? It is his money and his truck, if he wants to lift it more power to him.

Your fuel consumption will suffer.
You will lose cornering ability due to higher center of gravity.
It will be harder to load your truck due to greater height of truck bed.
Since you aren't going to do any offroading, you will gain nothing.

It will cost you money, reduce the utility of your truck, and yield no benefits.
didn't change my mpg one bit. rides better than it
did stock now.

harder to load the truck? I guess if he's 4ft tall or gets a 12"
lift.

And I was offering my perspective, in a way that was supposed to be humorous, to contrast the seriousness of your post.

I respect that, thnx for the help tho...money wasted ain't a problem to me, I don't think I would be wasting. I think a lifted Tacoma is fricken sick, looks is something I like and as long as it rides smooth, then I ain't wasting any money. I am married to a what do you call a "shuga mama"

Maybe a 3 inch lift would be a good compromise between "looking sick" and still functioning well on the street?

IMO, Id go with a good 3-4" lift with some 285's. That looks sick! A full 6" just looks funny on a Tacoma. But like I said, that is my opinion. Just post pics of the build!
