It isn't a limited slip with the locking diff. It is either one but not both. I assume you want the Toyota locking diff. You would need the whole axle from a TRD OR and wiring. http://www.12voltguy.com/product.php...cat=271&page=1

there are other threads ive read on just this topic and i think the conclusion was that its cheaper to install on ARB locking diff then to swap the whole axle with the TRD OR one.

Yes with an aftermarket unit but no you cannot just swap in a Toyota locking diff. The axles are different.

the limited slip in these things are pretty good as it is, like the others said it would be alot simpler and probably alot cheaper to just pull the limited slip out, and install a locker.

Everyone else is correct. You have an 8.4 axle. The TRD OR has an 8.0. You would have to swap the entire axle. Would be better and easier to install an ARB or Detroit locker in the rear.

COuple names come to mind,
dtrujillo63 has installed an ARB in the rear of his

Sarah from All Pro has a detroit in the rear of her Tacoma.

Yes. It really depends how much you find the axle for. The wiring you need is in my other post.

Just the 3rd member for $800 or the whole axle housing like as in everything between the brakes?

If you want a locker for your axle contact ECGS. They send you a 3rd member with the gearing you want ready to go in. http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/
