How much does a new side mirror cost?

So I driving into work yesterday about 6:30, when some A-HOLE swerves onto my side of the road nearly causing a head-on collision. I was "lucky" to escape with a side mirror that exploded in my face when his van struck it... glass absolutely everywhere in my truck, some in my face... totally freaked me out... UGHHH best part was that the guy didn't even stop, he just kept on going. mother f'er.

 

i think i woulda chased him down for that or at least a plate number. no idea on what a new mirror would cost but id check the junk yards nearby. my in laws live in hudson !! dave would you have happened to have the tsb up dated rear spring packs on your truck?

 

I would of pulled a U turn and follow him him and F@#K him up!

 

seriously... if i have half a clue as to what just happened I would have chased him down... fucker was probably cocked...

yeah, I do have the TSB. westboro toyota did it without any issue. 4 leaf pack and bilsteins all around... to be honest, my truck really did need it..

 

thanks for the offer. I'll let you know. have to see what the ins. company is going to do first... the whole mirror and housing was destroyed, they're just a couple of wires hanging off now...

wow, if that was the case... $120 doesn't sound that bad really... sucks there is other damage too...

 

I paid $180 from the dealer, painted, on my 2010. I broke mine off while washing after slipping off the running board lol. They don't sell just the glass, you have to buy the entire assembly. Worst part was mine was a few weeks old...

 

so a quick followup question on this... doe the entire assembly come with a new wiring harness? I can't see to find how it connects to the oem mirror switch on any of the diagrams on the linked website...

 

Cant remember(1 of 2 ways) either the harness attatches right behind that little black triangle on the inside, or it goes through the hole, and down into the door panel maybe 7-10 inches, i beleive this is the way.. first way i think is the scions...

 

i saw them on Amazon for 50 or 60 bucks. don't remember if they had the glass but the housing for sure.

 

Yeah, was just looking at those on Amazon or ebay.. i might just spend the 120 and buy and OE part... i don't want it to look any worse than it already does with paint scratched up etc...

 

yes oem comes complete with the wire harness plug and play

i do have a brand new takeoff but it's passenger side...sounds like you need drivers side
