i recently ordered a set of 1.5" wheel spacers off ebay for my 06 tacoma, got them all put on and torqued down and from about 45-55mph the steering wheels gets a pretty bad wobble , thats the only time it does it, any clues of what might be causing this? thanks

    Are these spacers hub centric?

Only ones I would recommend are the Spidertraxx spacers. They are hub centric. Most ebay spacers are junk.

Spidertrax is the only brand I would ever run in spacers.

But then I wouldn't ever run spacers, so that's sort of beside the point I guess.

I've got 1.5 wheel spacers and no wobble. Did you get the hub centric ones? If not then that's def the problem. Btw as said before eGay spacers are crap. I got mine from All Pro Offroad for $170 with shipping and e/t lug nuts for the fronts.

Damn ebay! Works its magic again!

Allpro makes good spacers too and for people like me that dont live around salt and stuff and dont need to spend that extra $40 a pair for the coating on the Spidertraxx, the Allpro's are perfect!

You won't need spacers if you buy the proper rims.

Debateable. I think 1.25'' or less it would be hard for anybody to argue anythign negative. One of the primary concerns is that it places added stress on the hub and that may be true but I think its hardly an issue. I would say there are 1000's of people running spacers with no problem and a couple guys had an issue which they either correctly or incorrectly attributed to spacers then the naysayers ran for the hills yelling the sky is falling. Like anything if you are conservative you will be fine.

Here is the spidertrac FAQ you can take a look at

    http://www.spidertrax.com/s.nl/sc.13/category.2/ctype.KB/KB.4303/.f

Like others have said, you likely need hub centric. But, not all ebay spacers are crap, we sell ours on there sometimes when we're overstocked! We sold nearly 2,000 spacers last year alone, and have very few reported problems, which are usually due to installation errors.
