has anyone swapped out there fan for an electric set up? i have bean thinking anout doing this but didnt know if anyone els on here already has?

Yes it has been done. FAL makes a kit. http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html/toyota-tacoma.html

No you won't really see a gain in MPG but it will help cool the engine during low speed crawling offroad and in traffic. Also the A/C will work better at low speeds. Lastly you can turn the fan off for water crossings.

Its a great modification if your doing alot of wheeling. Your engine gets the hottest when your in 4Lo and your revving at high rmps.

Plus you can save on fan belts.

I plan on doing wheelin just tryin to get my truck ready and tryin to figure out what all i want. i thought this cold air header exhaust would be all a pretty good match for keepin it cool and addin a little hp

Oh. The stock intake is cold air. The exhaust might give you 5 hp on a good day. Long tube headers will cause you low end power but open up at 3000 RPM.

If you want it do it. I will get it one day.

I did all these mods on my pre taco with a 22RE and I did notice a difference. Wasn't much but helped after the lift and bigger tires!
