arn't you glad you drive a tacoma with 3.50 gas

3.59 for 89 octane 3.69 for regular 87 eastern Nebraska ive been averaging around 17-18 half city half highway

 

I got some last night for $3.38 for regular unleaded in N. Dallas.

 

South Carolina isn't ALL bad.

Is that the price in Monkey's Corner? Seems low.

 

There are times I wish I had my little Accura. I used to get 34mpg... Now I get 20mpg in the taco. Gas is expensive here in Cali. $3.80 at Arco is about the best I can find. It's near $4.00 at Shell / Cheveron / Texaco.

Exactly. I would have kept my 1.8L 1991 Corolla that got 550kms to a $40 tank of gas.

And if I really cared, I sure as shit wouldn't have lifted the truck, armoured it and put big knobby tires on it.


That said, I don't drive like a bat outta hell though. Nice and slow. Civics might be able to sling around curbs, but I can just drive right over them.

 

my other transportation is my bicycle.

i dont worry about fuel anymore..it isnt gonna get any cheaper. my truck gets ridden far and hard this time of year. hunting season.

but i make up the bulk of my local travels with my bike.

 

3.69 here and I get about 20 mpg...loveing it.

 

Must be nice, I have yet to get over 17mpg, and thats highway,
in town driving is about 15mpg
Now I admit, I am not a slow driver, but I am not hauling ass by any means either.
I am just hoping its due to the truck only having 3,000 miles on it, I really hope it gets better.

 

well, i came from a 66' vw that got around 35mpg and had a 9gallon tank. But no ac. its now my winter car. am i glad about the gas difference, no. Am i stoked to have a bitchen truck? HELLS YEAH!

 

I really think MPG in these trucks deals with acceleration. Just ease up on the gas when the light turns green and it will get better

I came from an F-250 diesel. Awesome truck, I wouldn't have traded for the tacoma but I didn't tow enough to justify the added expense. Plus Diesel is ~4.25 around here

Even though I have the 6 spd so I'm not getting quite the milage of the autos..... Still loving my little truck that can!

BTW, I don't expect stellar MPG's from a truck because if that was my focus I would get a car. I do like an efficient vehicle that meets my needs and that is the Tacoma!

 

$3.90 here...never bothered to check the gas mileage since I bought back in 07.

 

Cheapest around here is $3.89.

 

About 3.50 here in denver and I only get 15mpg armor chews up my gas milage

 

Um.....14mpg after the lift and tires + $3.59 gas = HELL NO

I'm going this weekend and getting an economy car for my daily commute I drive 170 miles round trip 5x a week.. For the payment + insurance + gas for the car.....I'll still save over $200 a month than gas alone for the Tacoma.

I had a 07 black ram hemi. Got like 9 mpg with duals and intake. I drive a lot. A real lot. It was 80 to fill up and about 2 to 3 times in one week. I was spending like 160 easy a week or more. Traded it to my dad for a tacoma and love it. I did get bigger tires on tacoma so the mpg went down alittle but its still good. Its about 55 to fill up and last a long time. I love my tacoma and its my baby lol but there is nothing like a 5.7 hemi. That thing was so fast lol.
