My 97 4Runner with 200K miles started having an intermittent ignition issue a few days ago. I hit the starter and no go. This morning I noticed if I turned the steering wheel while hitting the starter, it fired up. Does this sound like an ignition switch problem, or is there something else in the mix?
Thanks in advance for any input.

this is completely normal. When you lock your steering after you turn your truck off, you have to free it up before you can turn the ignition. BTW this belongs in the 1st gen thread but its no big deal. Hope this was helpful!
