    This is not a 5 lug shock, but I have seen a ton of this {that I mentioned in the first post}.

    havent seen a 5 lug with broken shocks because 5 lugs arent usually driven offroad, hence, the already not-too-common shock breakage of 4x4's is even more uncommon with 5 lugs.

    It's already happened, somewhere...we just dont have pics of it yet.

    but by all accounts, go for it.

    Haaaaa I'm laughing, lots of 5 luggers out there and no problems with the cheesy spacer lift. This is why I started this thread. 5 luggers speak up.

    Ready Lift SST Lift Kit, Fog Lights, Aluminum Diamond Plate Tool Box, AFE ProDry S Air Filter, UltraGuage, BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A 235x75x15's
    I have had the Ready Lift on my 5 lugger for about 40, 000 miles with no problems whatsoever yet. I have 235x75x15's on the factory steels with the ready lift and yes I have a little bit bouncier ride than stock, but nothing that I would not expect from any truck on country roads. I always have the free alignment check when It's time to rotate tires (Sears only charges if you need adjustments), and so far I have not had to have any re-alignments. This last time I had to get the tires re-balanced due to a slight vibration, but again I am running oversized tires on the factory steeles therefor the constant country road driving I do is probably the cause for that. Since I am not a serious off-roader, I have been pleased with the ready lift.

    I had Fat bob's lift on my 5lug for about a year. It did OK... I went off road several times and it did OK...

    That said, the ride is harsh, BUT that comes with ANY spacer lift. You gain few inches and sacrifice quality of ride.

    The other downside of spacer lift is that without UCA's you will NEVER get the camber right your front wheels will always be little like this \ / which is not great for tire wear.

    However the Fat bob's lift costs $260 shipped and proper lift for 5 lug UCA's and coilovers is in the neighborhood of $1500 or more.

    On the last note my 05 AC TRD OFF Road with stock suspension and 120k miles rides much, much smoother that my lifted 5lug with Fat Bob's kit ever did...
