For some reason my JBL sounds like it it vibrating or just sounds really bad from to time. i think it's a certain tone that it can't handle. Deep voice perhaps...

Anyone else experience this? my vehicle's a few months old (2011 TRD sport)

As long as it is less than 3 years old and has fewer than 36,000mi on it, you are covered bumper-to-bumper.

    less than 3 months old?

I made an appointment for them to check this issue and another issue I've been having (transmission has a hard time picking correct gear)

They said it's $116 per hour for diagnoses unless it's deemed to be under warranty. I really hope it is

Sorry - 3 years old. I was just reading an oil change thread and had the months figure in my head.

    $116/hr for diagnosis?!?

I would check another dealership and see if they have something similar. I am never going to pay money to have a dealership look into something if the vehicle is under warranty for whatever the issue is.

As long as you are within the initial 3yr/36,000mi Bumper-To-Bumper coverage, then I can't think of a single thing that would cause it to be deemed non-warranty.

Here are the specifics straight from Toyota - http://www.toyota.com/owners/warranty/

The JBL factory subwoofer is a POS. That's why I replaced my sub with a 10" pioneer shallow mount driven by a 200W amp. My JBL system sounds awesome now.
