well now i HAVE to get a new truck, and thanks to this website for reassurance and affirmation i'm now in the market to get a 2nd gen. Tacoma. My patients has paid off, in a weird way.

i was on my way to clean up my f150 to get ready to sell it. i had been looking at getting a Tacoma for a while, and they would fit my needs more than the 2004 f150 would. plus it was time for a newer truck with less miles and better mpg. well i never thought this would happen to me next.

i got creamed and t boned by a girl running a red light. she ran it bad. i don't know how she didn't notice me. needless to say 40mph direct hit with no braking woke me right up that morning. we were both OK, just a two car two people wreck. but to look on the brighter side i am getting a little more for my truck from her insurance than i was selling it for. my dad said later that day that it was one way to get rid of my truck.

Do not say you are Fine yet. Give your body time to chill (adrenaline will kill a lot of pain) and make sure you get checked out. That is a hell of a hit, and right into your side.

Most important, make sure your medical and well being are cared for. The truck is just that, a truck. Not really all that important in the grand scheme of things.

Hope things work out well, glad you are both OK.

Thanks guys for the concerns, the wreck happened Saturday, I did go to get checked out and get some x rays on my arm and shoulder, they came back fine, but I am still sore in my neck and ribs.
As far as I know the girl is doing well, after the police were on the scene and the wreckers were o their way she gave me a hug and said " my bad". But I am very thankful that we came out without a scratch. And also very thankful we were wearing our seatbelts. As far as what kind of BMW it was a x3 3 liter. And for the other question I will get $12,000 for my old 2004 f150. That's about right considering it had 166k on the odo. I think it will be a good down payment on a taco.
