Guys, what is this connector behind the plastic-covered part below the left a/c vent on the passenger side of my 2006 DC TRD Off-Road 4x4 taco??

It is a black connector that has a two-wire plug but has nothing at the front of the cover.

If I have to take a guess, it looks like what could be for a passenger side airbag disable switch. If so, does that mean that my DC shares the same wiring harness as a regular cab???

That's where the passenger airbag disable switch is on Access Cabs and Regular Cabs. The Double Cab doesn't utilize that switch. The wiring is in there but they just have the blank cover in front of it.

The flexible conduit that protects this wire is indeed yellow. Can I put a switch on it to disable my passenger airbag?

They put them in the other trucks incase someone puts a baby seat up front. I guess they didn't feel a need in the double cab.

In case I have my food tray on the passenger side of the truck...:D:D

Seriously, for when I have my laptop on the passenger side perched on top of my bag. I do not want the airbag catapulting it towards me or the back in case it activates.

The bag that my laptop sits on is around 22 lbs. This enough to turn on the system??? I was thinking that a baby in a car seat might be almost that in weight. If not, I will just leave it alone.

In case OP needs to carry around a whole gaggle of kids in car seats?

Isn't that the reason the RC and AC have the disable switch and the DC doesn't?

I carry my laptop bag, also about 20 lbs on my front seat all the time and the sensor shows that the airbag is turned off whenever it is on the seat.
