Help: Driver door won't open!

So the girlfriend calls me monday and says she was locked inside my truck and coudnt get out so she had to jump through the passenger side....

I get home and the driver door won't open from the outside nor the inside, the handle feels like something came loose inside, like there's nothing interlocking...

My thought is I need to remove the door panel but how is it possible to do so if I can't open the door? I don't want to force anything that will cause the clips to break

Any help would be much appreciated as it is pretty embarrassing getting in or out from the passenger door LOL

This might be a long shot... but if you manage to take out the Window Buttons and Door Lock, you'd have a cavity there. From there you'd have to find a way to grab with some sort of tool the small bar that goes from the door handle, to the actual lock. Im pretty sure that would be what is loose. If you manage to pull that in the right direction, you should be able to open the door.

Does anything happen when you try to lock/unlock it (manually or with the remote/button)?

The door panels are pretty easy to pop off, at least on my '07 they were. I would just pop it off and see what's going on.
