So I've been having alot of trouble getting my rear leaf TSB done on my truck as I know alot of you have. Just thought I'd share my horrible experience with the dealership I've been trying to get my TSB done at.

I initially took my truck in about 2 months after I bought it to get an oil change and i made a complaint about harsh ride and the squeeky leaf springs. They did the oil change and told me that they did replicate the issue and they would do the TSB, but he told me that the the parts for the TSB were not realeased for the 2011 model yet! I told him that I've read online of people getting their 2011's fixed. He told me that it wasn't true and that he would call me when the parts are released.

So fast forward abotu 4 months the leaves are squeeking worse then ever, so i call Toyota Customer service and ask them if the parts where released. They say yes and they would forward an email to the dealership telling them to contact me within 24 hours to schedule my appointment to perform the TSB. Three days pass and no call from the dealer. :goingcrazy:

So i call the dealer and talk to the fellow that i dealt with before and ask him if my parts had come in. He told me that he just checked the week prior and they were never released! I told him that I just talked to Toyota Customer Services and they said that the parts have been released for a while. He then tells me that it must have just happened, so he went to check with is parts department and what do you know, my parts had "just come in today"!

So i scheduled my appointment for today and dropped my truck off early for the work to be done. They just called me and told me that the 2011 trucks don't have the same leaf spring TSB as the older trucks and all they had to do was install some rubber shims to stop the squeeking....

I mean Jesus Christ, all I want is my brand new $30,000 dollar truck with only 8,500 miles on it to be fixed. Is that too much to ask? I would expect this kind of crappy service/design from a Chevy or Dodge but not from Toyota. Don't get me wrong I LOVE my Taco but good lord, they've had these problems since 2005 and not only have they not fixed it, but they give their paying customers a hard time when they come in to get their shit fixed! It looks to me like Toyota is going down the same path as Chevy did!:mad::mad::mad:

I knew this dealershit had a horrible reputation around my area and i should have expected these games to be played. Let this serve as a warning to everyone on this site that is in my area, STAY AWAY FROM BROWNS TOYOTA!!! Their customer service is horrible!!!

I think there are two TSBs for the leafs. One is for the squeak and that is just a shim between leaf and the other is for the harsh ride, which would be a swap of the three leaf for the four leaf pack.

However, sounds like a good idea to stay away from that dealer.

The thing is, I complained about the squeek and the harsh ride while towing. They agreed that I needed the leaf and shock TSB performed. Now they're telling me that the 2011's don't qualify for the leaf and shock TSB?

I know guys on here have had the TSB performed on their 2011's. It seems to me like theyre just trying to get around performing the TSB in order to avoid paying to fix it.

This is why i didnt buy a truck from them. I went there to buy a truck and they treated me like crap so I bought the truck somewhere else. This is just another example of their terrible customer service.

It's just your dealer. Mine never questioned it for a minute. I asked them to perform the TSB, the service guy looked it up, said OK, we'll order the parts. Scheduled me for the following week. I dropped it off at 7 AM, they gave me a ride home and picked me up at 1:00 when it was all done including my oil change.

I wasn't trying to bash Toyota as a company. If it sounds that way, thats not what I was trying to do. Im just infuriated by this shitty customer service. I work construction, and the company I work for would never treat a client the way this Toyota dealership treated me. If we have warranty work to do we get it done to make our customer happy and want to come back to us. Good service is hard to find today. :(

Its not that bad. OP try a different dealership. The extra leaf will help but I added an extra one on top of the TSB along with front OME lift.

Well it did squeek like a bitch before they put the new shims in it. I did hook my enclosed trailer up to it and it squats and the rear floats a little.

When off roading while not loaded i didnt notice anything, but im going to Rausch Creek this weekend so if i notice anything during the trip ill let you know.

No problems at all, and I love how they look compared to the stock tail lights. :D
