Ok so I've painted my rims and my friends rims numerous times so i know how the drill on it, but I LOVE how some guys paint theirs black and put like a neon green ring or silver ring on the outer edge, makes it look more like the TX wheels, how do you achieve that perfect ring on the outside of the rim when painting? do you just tape like a perfect circle or what?

got a link to someone's rig so we know what you're talking about? Based on your description, it sounds like it's just a good masking job.

There's a lip on the wheel, trace that with the masking tape. A trick is to use pinstriping because it's much more flexible than masking tape to do the initial circle, then mask up to the pinstriping. That member looks like he masked off that lip on the rims and painted up to it.

Get the blue 3M 1/8" or 1/4" wide tape. The platic type not the blue paper tape they sell at Lowes or WalMart, you'll need to go to an auto paint supply store to get it.
