I feel like i'm cheating when i go on night runs

I like them a lot actually. some people have said the housing cracks at the mounts, but i haven't been able to break them yet. and i've tried.

for how inexpensive they are compared to a lot of other similarly sized and output rated lights, you can't beat them. sumper simple to replace a ballast of bulb if one goes out as well.

well i already have the normal kragens and i've seen them hold up fine on some race trucks, but i was talking about the beam pattern on the one you have in the middle

oh, my bad. it's nuts actually. i need to re-aim it for the 3rd time. it goes so far that i just keep raising it, and the focal point keeps hitting the ground further and further away. i get excited every time i re-aim it because it goes so far. you pretty much just point it directly horizontally, because it'll keep lighting the way until it hits something.

okay, i'm thinking about trading my 2 red rings for 2 of the new spot ones, everyone i talk to says that the beam pattern is way better!

it depends on what you want. with the two reds and the outer light on each side of the roof rack being aimed outward, i have more than 180 degrees of usable light. then i let the center kragen and the other 4 roof lights take care of the middle distance and long distance.

if all you need is long range though, go with the spots.

distance of the center of the bolt hole on the light tab, to the edge of the hexagonal sleve is 1.125 inches. diameter of the hexagonal sleve (flat side to flat side) is 4.5 inches.

Do you have to constantly re-aim the lights?

the kragens? so far they've been good. wheeled twice since i got them, one of which was all high speed and they were aimed the same at the end of the day. only 2 jumps that day though, so you'll have to make the judgement call of whether or not they'll hold their aim for you. i tightened the crap out of mine which has resulted in holding aim with no cracked housing, so i give them the thumbs up.

That's good. I would hope that with their plastic housing and lighter weight they wouldn't shift as much.

I used to run a pair of Hella 4000's on my bumper light bar, but they wouldn't hold zero at all. They'd stay tight to the light bar but wouldn't stay tight within their own mount adjustments.

the kragen mounts are actually notched at the part of the mount that adjusts them virtically, so once you tighten them down, you'd have to shear the teeth off to have them adjust themselves. the notches on the housing itsself are obviously plastic like the rest of the housing, but the part that meshes up with it and contacts your mounting surface is actually aluminum. i'll try to remember to take a picture of it tomorrow to give you a better idea.

Cosmetic stuff.... best part HomerTaco Raptor Grille. Need to get a lift, armor and lockers.
So this may be a stupid question but why did you choose D2 over the regular Dually? I don't know a whole lot about rigid industries or the LED craze. I thought I had finally made up my mind about HIDs then I saw LEDs and I can't figure out much of a difference between D2 vs Orignal... Orignal is listed as Off-Road Only I would assume that they are brighter?

I had the same idea about installing them in the Stock Fog wholes, I'm glad you did it first haha i was too chicken shit. I like it, I'll probably do it myself. How did you end up mounting them in there?!? And how did you wire it? I saw it said plug and play but I'm pretty sure it can't be that simple. It never is.

The d2's are 5200 lumens vs 2600 lumens for the original dually. So double output, same size haha

Hey Chase, finally remembered to get a picture of the mount for you.

you can see the teeth molded into the housing. the black block that actually contacs the light tab is aluminum and has the same teeth. thest lights don't move.

Those dually d2s fit in the fog light holes on the stock bumper? Did you have to cut to get it to fit?
