This is driving me nuts. I have a double cab with clicking sound somewhere around this area that I can't track down. It happens primarily with cab flex over bumps or stops and is worse with a trailer in tow. It sounds like maybe it is the seatbelt aduster/ locking mechanism, but if I pull and lock the seatbelt and hold it while driving, it will still happen. i also checked out the door latch, window trim, door seals and I just can't find the culprit.

    Any ideas?

So you think it is the seatbelt adjuster?

I just took it apart and I still can't make it the adjuster. i did find a blue wire "elbow/ Grommet" type thing for the rear door that sounded suspiciously like the noise when touched so I used a little silicone when snapping it back into place. I hope that cures it.

That wasn't it. I am now convinced the sound it coming from the door - maybe a lock mechanism rod that is rattling around or something. I guess I will pop the door panel off next.

Probably the seat belt assembly adjuster...I searched high and low last year:

I saw a thread somewhere on here where someone made a shim out of a plastic milk jug and put it in to stop the rattle. I gave up on mine and just warning ya, it gets more annoying when it gets colder out.

While I was searching you posted this... I remember seeing someone found some loose bolts and had to tighten them up in the drivers door. FWIW, I can't "make" my seatbelt adjuster rattle but while driving that's the area mine is coming from...right in my freakin' ear.
