Tsb getting done now need 5100 help

Ok so dropped off the Tacoma today to get the tsb done no prob from the dealer. And I ordered the 5100s now my question is what do I set them at to level it out also im goin to buy new tires whats the biggest size tire I can stuff under. It has 17 in rims if I go 16in rims then what would the biggest size? I realize it will b the same in the end help!

When you get the truck back, measure both front and back from the center of the hub to the fender. The difference is the setting you should use on the 5100. It will either be the .85 setting if you want a little bit of rake or 1.75 if you want to be closer to dead level.

Biggest size you can fit without rubbing is 265/70R17 and I believe if you go to 16's it's 265/75R16 (might want to have someone confirm the 16" size though, I've got 265/70R17's on mine).

Tsb done what a difference the dealer gave me no prob. The back is wat higher than the front now. What do I set my billies at.

 

Measure from the center of the hub to the fender both front and back and see what the height difference is. Set the fronts at whatever setting you need to compensate. It will probably be 1.75 to be level or .85 if you still want a little rake.

 

I've just got a leveling spacer kit and was able to run 265/75/16 with no issues. Without the leveing kit I did get a little rub now and than.

 

If you want the stock rake, set 'em at .85. If you want level, set 'em at 1.75. For tires, as has been posted, either 265/70R17 or 265/75R16.

 

I am still down about 3/4" up front with TSB rear and 5100's @1.75". I did not want to go any higher to avoid alignment issues, having to buy new UCA's, etc. I think the truck rides great as it sits now.

 

Should of put the 5100's on before the TSB and taken advantage of the free alignment. I have TSB, billies at 1.75, and 265/75/16's. I am level, with a lot of weight I am nose high.

 

the back is going to settle over next monthn or 2. on my last taco i had 1.75 and on my next probably doin 0.85 so im not nose high when i put anytrhing in back

I just tried this and was told that the dealer couldn't align it to anything other then the manufacturers specs. I said BS, but they wouldn't get it to the specs that I wanted, so I have to go and get it done again elsewhere. I guess it depends on the dealer, but just watch out.

As far as what to set them at, I set the front at 1.75 with the TSB leaf pack in the rear to make it level. I forgot to take into consideration that I have a cap on the truck that adds a few hundred pounds and now with the bed empty I still slightly nose high. If you want some rake left in the stance, go for the .85. If you want it level, be aware that 1.75 is about level with no weight in the back and it will look to sag slightly when you add some weight.

So it look like I'm goin to set them @1.75 now tire question want a aggresive look but want them to drive good on the rd. I drive 60 miles a day to work I don't want to hear them hummmmm. Also rim size I have 17 in stock wheels can I get wider rims or is there a specific backspacing I should look for. I love xd wheels

 

i had the dealer add my billies and they set them at 1.75 for me while they did the tsb just had to pay for labor on the billies
