I have a 2008 Tacoma Off Road 6 cylinder and my TSB light and Maintenance light have been on for about two weeks now. I am at about 36,000 miles so i'm assuming i need a tune up or something, but can someone tell me what is required with that and also can I get some advice on a good reasonable shop here in Colorado Springs to take it in to get this done.

    Thanks for your help.

The "Maint. Req" light comes on flashing at 4,900 miles (I believe) and comes on solid every 5,000 miles to remind you to change your oil. Change your oil and reset the light by turning the truck off, cycle through your ODO until your odometer is showing (not the trip ODOs) and hold the selector button down while turning the key from off to on (don't start it, just turn it to 'on'). Hold for 5 seconds and your ODO will flash 00000 and it's reset for another 5,000.

The light with a tire in it is for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System and comes on if there's a fault in the system or if one of your tires is low on air. Check your tires (including the spare) and reset the light with the button below the steering wheel.

All this is in your owner's manual by the way, there's an entire section that shows every fault light, what it means and how to correct it.

Thanks for the info on the service lights being on. I appreciate the helpful comments, but could have done without the smart ass comments by the ohter immature guys. You happen to be "one" of the decent few.

What he said and double down on reading the owner's manual. It will take care of alot of the worry and wondering with your truck.

The guys are really helpful when needed, but are smart a$$es when people ask before searching or reading their owners manual.
