Need advice!! Good tire size on Taco with 2.5" bilstein 5100 lift

Anyone know a great tire/size for a tacoma with bilstein 5100 at 2.5" lift?? Check out my headlight mod too! 4 hours and 6 bucks later! Completely worth it!

 

i am runnin the same set-up with 285's and minor rubbing but i just need to cut some plastic. if you are gonna stick with stock rims you are gonna need wheel spacers in the front to clear the uca's

 

I get some rubbing sounds when I turn left after I put the bils on, thought it was the rear diff so did the rear diff oil change today with no luck?? Thought only 4X4 had uac?? Still learning but could that be the case?

 

Get 265/75/16 or 265/70/17, I wish I went with that size opposed to the 285's.

 

if you mean uca's im pretty sure all tacomas have them but yeah that could be what you hear

X2, but I had to trim a lot of plastic trimming and I still rub on The cabmounts.

 

yeah cab mounts will get ya if you do serious wheelin.

Sorry, got cvc mixed up with uca. So if I buy new rims, are the stock uca ok with 2.5" lift with the bils? I definitely want to black out the rims, but if I need new uca cause the 2.5" lift then Ill do that first. Thanks for the help!

 

yeah i paid 100 for the front pair so 200 is about right

yeah but you have to make sure that you get the right offset. i don't know too much about that because it confuses the hell out of me but to run 285's on 17's the you need a backspacing of 4.5". don't quote me on that but i am pretty sure that's what you need

 

i wish i went with 285s instead of 265s.

 

i love the way my 285's look. i pulled up to a tacoma on campus the today and it didn't look quite as big IMO.
