Soundproofed Roof - Now Compass Does Not Work?

    KC-HiLites Fog Lamps, Kicker speaker and tweeter upgrade, USB in center console, Power tailgate lock, Soundproofing, 32" lightbar
    I soundproofed my roof with Rammat (foil and butyl) and then installed an OEM Toyota temperature/compass meter in the head console. The temperature works fine but the compass will not calibrate (I followed the instructions to a T). I then installed my buddies temp/compass unit and same problem.

    I'm wondering if the Rammat may be blocking the compass signal.

    Has anyone else who soundproofed their roof had this problem?
