For a 2012 4WD TRD Sport DC LB without Upgrade.....I am being quoted $300 over invoice, plus $289 dealer processing, and of course....sales tax.

I am wondering how that compares to some of you who have already purchased a 2012.

If you care to share the details....please do.

You shouldnt be worrying about MSRP or dealer invoice. You should be finding out the out the door price. Try your best to make the eat the Tax, Title, Licensing at least. If you work it right you can get a good deal. Seriously, tell them you want the truck but you dont need it. Tell them straight up you will walk if you dont get a deal you like and go somewhere else because someone will sell you what you want for the right price. Best thing to do is walk in with financing already in hand. You can use that as leverage to let them finanace you and get you a better deal. What ever you do, do not tell them how much you CAN spend for monthly payments. They will use that to artificially inflate prices to come over that number, then play games to bring it down to your maximum amount and make you feel like they did you a great service...

Thanks for the input, but...I've purchased my share of new vehicles and have a good understanding of the "game". Trying to hear from people that have actually purchased a '12.

I am not certain things are the same this year due to the production stoppage earlier. Supply is scarce so far......its not that easy to find exactly what I am looking for.

    Thanks for the input

thanks for your theory / strategy....I get it...but.....not what I was asking for.

Nothing really matters now than other than what others are paying. The only incentive I see related to a Tacoma is $500 off an '11 (which I do not want).

So..once again....anybody out there that has purchased a '12 and care to share the details....thanks....but I don't blame you if you are not sure what kind of deal you got and would rather not discuss.

it is helpful if you included all the details of your deal such as:

what kind of truck & options you got (SR5, OR, Sport, LB, Access/DC etc...)
what was the tax rate & dealer fees/licensing
    did you have a trade-in
what part of North America are you in

if this information is not provided it is not possible to make an informed comparision and the whole thread will go to shit. :)

Id like to know what people are actually pay as well. I went to check out a base 4x4 today and the dealer has a $1500 market adjustment on every tacoma on the lot. Even the 2011's.

Obviously I wont be shopping at that dealer anytime soon. But i'd like to know what kind of price others are getting.

lets see.. I'm at work right now, so I can't remember exactly, but I think the sticker on my 2012 DC/LB/4x4/TRD Sport "Upgrade" in MGM w/Entune was
$35,XXX. My Costco pricing brought it down to $33,800 before all applicable state (rape you) fees.

I think the fees will vary greatly depending on where you're at. So maybe we should post our "soft" price (before all applicable fees). Oh, I live in southern California by the way.
