MGM TXpro or Keep the Trd sport

So I was just browsing through Doxontoyota.com and went through their new vehicles inventory. I've always wanted an MGM TX pro. Well they have one. Now, I have an 05 super white TRD sport and just recently purchased the TRD beadlock wheels for it. Also I owe just around $3000 on the sport. What's a more wise choice?

 

Keep the sport.

There's really not much difference between what you have now and the T/X... IIRC If you add a TRD exhaust with those wheels you'll have yourself a T/X without the decal

 

All depends on the deal.

In the end, you'd be getting a brand new truck with a brand new warranty and such, so it may end up being worth it for you. But for me, these decisions all come down to how good the deal is.

The TRD sport already has TRD Cold air intake (1st gen), TRD cat-back, and TRD wheels that are still in the box. Thanks for the help

Unless you really want a new truck again, or another monthly payment, I say stick with the sport. There is nothing on it that you can't just buy solo. Now if it was a 3rd gen (when they eventually come out), that would be a different story...

 

I agree with most everyone here...Keep what you got and make the solo purchases for upgrades. I've learned alot about what the dealer/factory packages are good for- Draining money and adding parts that end up getting removed anyways (in a lot of cases)

 

As much as I love my MGM TX Pro, I'd say stick with what you have because it's almost paid off, that means no more payments...you don't want to have to make more payments in this economy haha

I say keep the sport. Do you seriously want another 5-6 years worth of payments? If you do end up getting a new Tacoma, might as well wait for the 3rd gen to come out.

 

I agree with everyone saying to wait for the 3rd gen.

 

If that's the case, and with the small amount you still owe on it, I would just stick with the Sport.

You pretty much have a TX now...I would wait for the ' 12 and add your new rims to that .

 

I would personally wait for the 3rd gen...not the 2.25 gen.

Isn't the TX built around the OR? So it would have the locker. I would think that would have been the deciding factor instead of the cheaper aesthetics. Granted he has the exhaust and wheels so could have just gone for a normal OR if he really wanted a locker.
