thats it . I ask the same ? whats with the ugly gap i definately wont buy from them any more. I bought it just n case the deer run out in front of me . I live way out in the country and have hit over 50 with my 96 ford and 78 chevy but they were built to take a hit

Should have gotten an ARB, they were designed to hit Kangaroos in the Australian wilderness, or done a little more research on aftermarket bumper manufactures.

That gap (between the bumper and body) may be due a body lift installed on that truck, or just a shitty design IMO. The two half moon holes are so you can access a winch.

For the best collision protection, ARB is the best.

And the full-size trucks prior to about 2004 (Tundra excluded) weren't safe in severe frontal crashes - the cab was the crumple zone...

That rack is supposed to be a "chase rack" like you see on chase trucks for desert races. IIRC it was bolted to either the tie down or the track systems, I can't quite remember.

How do you see your winch spool up properly if there is only two tiny holes on each side?

I highly doubt this bumper was made to be used with a winch and be used offroad (i.e. the bolted on recovery points)
