I am new to the forum site but i have a quick question, I have a Silver 2006 SR5 4x4 that has the stock chrom grill surrounding and chrom bumper but i was to paint them Silver. Is there a easy way to paint over them that the pain will stay or is there a way to take off the chrom?

I'm not a total expert on this, but I think that what people generally do to paint chrome is sand it down real good and use adhesive promotor spray before the primer so that the primer has something to stick to.

You can always sand, adhesion promoter, primer, paint, then clear...

But I saw something a while ago were the guy pealed the chrome off the grille. I think you could get it media blasted.

Let us know how it turns out. I will try to find those threads.
