I poked my head under the passenger side footwell and looked up towards the center console and saw this leak. It smells and feels like some sort of lubricant (like the ones used on model trains...if that helps) and it's everywhere.
Any idea where it could be coming from?
    It's a 4 month old 2011 DC 4x4.

That would usually be a place you would find coolant/antifreeze from a heater core leak.

Wouldn't it smell like antifreeze then?

Well yeah....and it would be warm if you recently drove the truck. I'm only suggesting what it could be since I'm not there myself.
Is it leaking steady or only after you have driven the truck??
If it is drivable I would just take it into the dealer since the truck is under warranty.

could be water, or condensation from running the A/C, maybe a loose connection to the drain hose, or even a kink or clog in the hose...the lubricant feeling could either be the water running down freshly lubricated parts in the A/C box and causing the water to become oily or some sort of lubricant they put in the airbox. Either way take it to the dealer, that's what warranties are for...

The white area makes it look like white lithium grease that got hot and started to run a little. Dealership will prob look at it and wipe it off, that is if it is white lithium grease. Hope thats all it is.

Blower motor spitting out it's bearing lube? Or freon leaking in the AC box at the expansion valve? Either way, as has been stated.....wrong shit for a new truck. Take it and let them figure it out. Good luck.........

It the grease wipe it off and check back. I kinda feel like a trip to dealership will be a waste of time and dealing with them.

Yeah looks kinda like some lithium up top but I would be concerned with the stuff dripping down. Check behind the carpet real good...if it's wet under there you need to get the leak taken care of and have the padding replaced.

most likely shine spray from the detail dept before u picked up the truck....wipe it off and see if it returns.....they spray a ton of that stuff on the dash and it runs down the vents to the evap box

Could be lubricant from A/C pump.

Well, crap. I'll be making an appointment then. It's definitely not condensation or antifreeze - it smells and feels like some sort of grease or lubricant and it's everywhere. The odd thing is that it's very fluid and seems to run freely - lithium grease is usually a little more dense than this - it's got the consistency of olive oil.
Odd thing is I recently had the blower motor start squeaking this week so I wonder if it's related...though I've read the blower motors are not lubricated like this leak indicates.
What's the circular type plastic housing you see in the photo? Is that the blower motor housing? It seems to be coming from there..whatever that is...
