Toyota Bedrail Fork Mounts

Does anyone have one of these? Do they work ok?

I need one for my Specialized Allez Elite.

 

i need one of those, but currently i'm trying to make the tie down cleats work as a bike rack, when i have them figured out i will post the mod....

 

Not sure if you can see it in the pic but I just bolted a quick release skewer to my front bed rail. Total cost a few bucks worth of bolts washers from Lowes.

 

Don't buy the Toyota ones. I hear a lot about them being very flimsy and letting your bikes move around in the back.

Google Rocky Mounts, they have some stuff that would work with the bed rails and have been used without problems by lots of fellow taco owners.

 

I have a pair, and they work fine for me (and they work just fine with my tonneau cover) but as others have mentioned, they are a bit flimsier than some of the other options out there.

I have the RockyMounts & they work great. If you are ordering more than one make sure you ask to have them keyed alike, otherwise you will end up having different keys for each of them.

I ordered the Rocky Mounts at ORS also, and they're great.

I also got another set of the rectangular nuts for a wheel holder mount. That worked awesome as well.

 

I actually mounted some rocky mounts to the tie down cleats, prior to getting the Toyota OEM bike mounts.
They work well for me and have not slid on me at all. There are groves in the tracks that the mounts seem to mount stronger to. I've wheeled with my bike attached in the back and aside from the back of the bike bouncing around, the fork mount never moved. I'd like to find a way to secure the back, for now it's just a bungee cord.

I see another fan of the Red Wings. Why all the hate they only won 10 cups. The stupid habs have 24 I think.

 

This is the setup I use: two OEM bike mounts up front, and one long bungee cord through the rear frame to the tie-down hook at the back of the bed. There's a little bit of bike movement, but nothing major.

 

the toyota ones are made by yakima and they work just fine. its the price that everyone doesn't like.
