Went to the dealer today to price a 2012 Tacoma Access Cab V6, TRD Sport and they could not confirm the Superchargers availability for 2012...Can anyone one confirm if the supercharger is going to be available for the 2012 and when? Its the only reason I am interested in the Tacoma so if not available will have to move on...

I went through the same thing with my 2012 order. After talking to the parts guy at the dealership, I learned that the supercharger is always available a bit after the new model year. He said in 2011 it was months after the new trucks were available before he saw the parts arrive. So I will just drive the truck stock until the 2012 SC is out and then make a decision. I think I will actually appreciate the SC more this way.

Yeah heard something similar to that from one dealer but thought they would be able to at least confirm the SC is coming, couldn't afford to buy the tacoma then learn that there will be no SC or it won't be available for years later....

Kinda picky in my cars choices need a car that goes from 0-60 in less than 7.0 sec, is reliable meaning japanese or korean, less than 40,000 dollars, has more than 8.0 inches of ground clearance, and is not as big as house or weigh as much lol, that leaves two choices

    Subaru Forester Turbo
    Toyota Tacoma SC

Family already has two 2010 Subaru Forester XT's its a great car only thing lacking over Tacoma is less ground clearence (8.9 inches) and no low range, car is unstoppable in snow though, and super quick.

Is this just in case you have to make a last minute run to Taco Bell or something?

I don't understand why you would have a need for a certain speed...when you're two choices are a Subaru Forester and a Tacoma...

Took a video and timed it on various devices countless times, but did not use a vobx or something of the like.

I talked with Toyota through toyota.com and they told me that they listed the 2012 SC a littler premature. It wasn't available for 2010 and 2011 until Nov of 2011. The said they need to certify that it works even though it is the same engine. I have someone looking into it as we speak and should find out soon if we can get it straight from the factory now. i will keep you posted.

OP, I suggest you move on.....
If your vehicle selection solely depends on a supercharger, then this isn't the truck for you. Go with a 2012 Ford Ranger, I hear the 2012 has a bitchen supercharger option.

THIS INFO IS WRONG. LoL Its not even Nov 2011 yet. I assume you mean Nov 2010 which is also wrong as I got my S/C installed on my 2010 in August 2010 and I know others who had it done earlier in the year. There was a delay for the Automatics because of the tranny reflash but the 6spd was able to be done mid 2010.
