I have a friend who is looking into one of the new Tundras and is in love with them. I told him that they have been having some problems but i cant seem to remember what they are. I think i remember someone starting a thread discussing some of the Tundras short commings but i cant find it. If anyone can find this thread or has any outside links to Tundra problems i would appreciate it. Thanks

Thanks for your help guys. I want to be able to get him informed before he makes a huge purchase like that. The dealer almost had him signing the paperwork yesterday when he called me.

Tell your buddy that the tundra was built for heavy duty action, the Tacoma is all he will need...if your not going to consistently haul large stuff. My Tacoma does alot more then i expected and its an established model, the new tundra is on its 1st run and the bugs are not yet worked out....

He is looking for heavy duty. He is actually taking a step down as far as power. He's getting rid of his Chevy 2500 heavy duty deiesel. It's an awesome truck but getting old. He tows a deep sea fishing boat. Not very often but when he does it's usually 300miles +, I wouldnt trust the Taco to do that with much grace. The Tundra should have no problem with it though. I love my Taco but i dont think he would be happy with it. Going from a huge diesel to a V6 is too much of a drop for him. Plus he doesnt have to worry about money so he may as well get the big dog. He'll put it to good use.
