i did a vin check on the given vin and it didn't say trd. If you look in the pictures you can't see the common things that come with trd offroad. I'm thinking its just a sticker?

I saw on another thread, forget which one, that you can get the '09 4cyl 4X4 in Canada with a TRD package. I would love to through all of someone's TRD take-offs onto mine.

you can get a 4cyl TRD access cab but unless they made some changes i'm not aware of you cant get a reg cab with the TRD option. he may have added TRD parts himself, like seats and shocks and the sticker but it's not a TRD truck

that truck is missing the locker switch, the inverter switch, those are the non-sport seats (they don't have an extension under the legs), and it doesn't look like TRD shocks on there. I bet the guy selling it added a TRD sticker to get more for the trade-in. Not a bad idea.

Edit: And manual windows??? cruise control???

yeah...there is no trd package at all on a reg cab...plus like said, there is only the trd 4 cyl in the access cab. plus those are nowhere close to being trd option rims

not a bad idea at all but i could never rip someone off like that. if i could pull one over on the dealerhip i would but not a random person wanting to buy a truck

Hopefully whoever buys that truck isn't stupid and researches first.
Maybe since sockmonkey is the vinyl master he could decipher this issue.

Pretty bad when a toyota dealership didn't figure that out. Especially when the TRD logo isn't even the stock one... Doesn't even have the right rims and tires or anything...

i had a buddy that did that a few years back

had a 4cyl wrangler and got a 4.0L sport decal.
traded it in and got the same amount he paid for it.

I guess the dealer never found out or was too embarrassed to say anything (how do you miss 2 cylinders?)

I guess since my truck ACTUALLY came with all the goodies then I won't get more than I paid for it.
