I was talking to my friend who worked for a major tire manufacture and now works for another one that makes the monster tires for the largest earth moving equipment in the world.

We discussed balancing from motorcycle tires through trucks and cars and on to the monsters.

A lot of what I thought I knew got turned over a bit and I learned a bunch about things I had not yet heard of.

In a nutshell I am providing a link that gives the basics of what was discussed. This could be one of the reasons that even after numerous balancings, even with using "lug centric" methods, we still have shake and bake problems at times.
