I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4WD and want a dual exhaust system. Right now it's straight piped and I want it louder. Any suggestions about which dual exhaust system would be the best?

I like the look of duals myself. I like them out the sides of the bumpers better than straight out though. If you want it loud maybe get a Flowmaster 40 or 44 series muffler and get the shop weld it on and run duals.

would there be any increase in power with a Flowmaster 40 or 44 series muffler?

Would headers add a significant amount of power and a louder sound?

When I added headers, it did increase the sound, but it got really raspy, especially after 3k rpm. I had a custom y-pipe made as well with a single in single out Flowmaster 50 series. A lot of the raspyness went away, but it's still there a bit. Overall, I really like the sound of my truck though. Headers were a great addition.

Best exhaust is stock exhaust. If you want to mod the exhaust do it for sound mostly. You can't "add" hp with an exhaust/headers. You can only simply hope to open up flow, and hope that power is "unlocked" more than "added". I love " " don't judge me :p

    Exactly.

Yup, just take off the heads and remove all of the stock piping... your weed eater build will be complete.

There is no best exhaust, its simply about what sounds best to you.

You forgot to add the type "R" stickers as they are worth 20 hp apiece.
