These tires are not working for me

50 F and rain. Like I'm driving on ice or snow. I may even look into getting these tires replaced if my tire shop offers a pro rated replacement.

2nd gen, TRD Offroad. They just have horrible traction. I ran stock and Bridgestone Dualer A/T Revo 's before. Both surpassed my current tires in the climate I am in (Missouri)

They are not bald although I am not impressed with tread life either. They will need replacement in like 10,000-20,000 miles I would guess. (and that's not completely bald)

 

And I do know the Tacoma's lightweight rear end is a factor in this. I also know though I've had better experiences with other tires.

 

KM2s baby. I can blast through puddles at 60 and not hydroplane Had snow up the hood and still made it through... bring it on! They balance like shit though... fair warning.

 

I want a good balance for highway and dirt. Haha. The Revo's were great

 

KM2's are great on the highway. I have 50k on mine now.... still have another 10-20 to go. They're louder than a stock tire, obviously, but not nearly as loud as normal mud terrains.... Don't be afraid to run a M/T on a light truck if you're worried about wearing them down... they wont. Oh and I ran the first 40k with stock UCA's so they scalloped and STILL are lasting forever.

For reference my stock dunflops were bald at 40k.

 

Gas mileage? Cornering on paved roads? Or grip on paved roads?

 

BFG T/A KO'S, Cooper SST's. I ran both just put 400 miles on some Cooper ST 255/85/16 , they are pizza cutters but they have deep tread and my MPG jumped to 18 HWY with 3" lift, I have a 6spd. Cooper also makes a SST max the 265/75/16 has a deeper tread and it's 32" . I had a set of coopers on my 99 TRD and got 90K miles. I like the KM2's but from what I have read on these threads theyare good for 40K. Just mt 2.

My gas mileage will differ, since I am running 285s, you can get them in stock size.

Grip? Can't say I've ever had any issues with grip, Only time I ever lose traction is pulling onto a road if I step on it, but that's due to posi...not tires. Hard to break em loose otherwise

 

I guess if you factor my speedometer error, I have closer to 50k on my tires already, expecting 10-20k more before I "consider" new tires.

Yep, I'm 7.4% off have to fig it out. Stock BFG Rugged trail half tread crap was a 30.4" now i have 33" it's 7% off.

 

Ther're not overinflated are they? That can cause a serious loss of traction as well. I had a tire shop do that to me, they inflated ONE of the rears to 50 psi, the rest were at 32. When empty I could break the back end loose cruising in 2nd gear on wet pavement, with otherwise very grippy tires.
