Had a Ford dealer charge me for rotation that they did not do a few years ago when I had a junker F-150. Only way I knew was because I marked the tires/rims.
If I am having a transmission oil change, I blot a white paper towel with the old oil from the dipstick before I go in and when I get back I do the same thing with a new paper towel and then check the color between the two. There is no way the old trans. oil and new trans oil will be the same color. The old should be darker.
