"If your too ignorant" is taken out of context. Your statement was that if I disagreed with you I was ignorant. I assure you that I'm anything but and don't appreciate such insinuations. I'm paraphrasing of course but that's what you said and hiding behind semantics will not help your cause.

You also appear to be having a difficult time discerning between your and you're so I'll help out a bit. Substitute the words 'you are' and if it makes sense then you want you're which is the contraction of those two words, or you're. The word your denotes possession such as: "Your butchering of the English language makes it difficult to take what you're saying seriously especially when you attack me personally by bringing my intelligence into question."

Oh I agree hundred percent. I have read his posts and I never had a issue with him before, still don't. All fun and game here folks, move along.

 

I wonder how many people that believe in government conspiracies will ever recognize that in almost every case the simple explanation is that the parties involved are either incompetent, or their lack of action is due to the fear that stems from career preservation.

 

And while I'm at it, my bride has brought home some of the second generation Luminaid lights and they are equipped with a better battery and can be used as a water carrying vessel if necessary as the battery and LED are separately enclosed.

I beat on a pair of first generation lights for quite awhile and they still work fine although one stopped holding air after one of our dogs played too rough with it. A bicycle innertube patch easily got it back in action. The light is fine for having enough to be able to see what you are doing and is very simple to employ and recharge. If pushed to guess, I'd say that we have over one hundred hours on each of our first generation lights. The second generation - current type - have an even better battery and a better LED in them. We don't even feel that setting them to the high output mode is necessary which rewards us with even longer battery life. At least one in each vehicle and they get used as camping lanterns too.

We get ours from Austin Canoe & Kayak - great people - but there are many retailers offering them I'm sure.

 

Thank you for sharing that!! I am checking on those right now since I have a KEEN interest in things that either use solar or require no electricity. I love my Goal Zero gear and have a Zamp solar panel for the trailer. With my minimal use of electricity I can keep some creature comforts. Also very interested, and purchased one recently, of the BioLite stoves that can turn heat into electricity and charge iPhones, GPS, cameras, walkie talkies, etc from just a few twigs that are burning. Also - crank radios are another source of reusable/sustainable energy and can charge batteries and things with a USB or microUSB.

Love this thread -- and the more it is kept to survivalist, prepper (non-political) and some scenario discussion without wandering too far into the ideological/political the more I like it -- but that's just me -- it is fun once in awhile to see a spat!!

Alright guys, I dont post very often in here but I do troll the shit out of this thread. I could use some ideas.
So I am purchasing the Ruger 10-22 Takedown rifle. It comes with a padded bag, see the link.

What I am looking to do is keep the rifle in my truck, but I want it in the cab (I have an access cab). I am thinking of building a lockable box somewhere on the back of the cab. Maybe take the sub woofer out since I dont use it and mounting a metal lockable box in its place, that way it is locked and out of site. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.
The bins under the back seat are full up with all my other necessary tools and such,

 

Depends on if you use your back seat for well...seating. If you don't need it to haul your kids around, you could bolt a tool box to the bench. You'd lose the bins under the seat but there isn't that much storage space in there anyways.

 

I was thinking of mounting it vertically up the back where the sub is.

No, I dont have kids and I dont cart anyone around back there so the pspace is available. I want to keep the bins which is why I am thinking vertical would be best.

 

i think vertical would be pretty sweet and not take up much space.
